Bath Time

Tucker really likes it when Talon takes a bath with him.  He likes to help me bathe him.  And Talon seems to like taking baths with Tucker, too!  It's so nice to have a baby that doesn't scream every time I put him in the water.  It is so funny, almost every thing about Talon is opposite of Tucker.
Already loving Big Brother and watching his every move

He thinks he is so funny :)

3 Months

Talon turned three months old last Thursday.  He is definitely becoming more animated and alert, which makes him much more fun for Tucker to play with!  He laughed for the first time (at LeLe, of course!) about 3 weeks ago.  He is so ticklish, so we love to tickle him and try to make him laugh!  He is eating anywhere between 4 and 6 ounces every 3-4 hours and has started getting up twice a night again. (boo)  His eyes are still blue and his hair is still brown.

Tucker loves to try to make him smile or laugh.

Look at those lips. :)

ALL b.o.y.

If you know me, you know that I am 100% girl.  I do not like bugs, I do not like to sweat, I do not touch reptiles, I will fish, but I will not bait my own hook (you get the idea).  Which makes it so ironic (God has a great sense of humor, you know) that I have 2 boys.  And while we don't yet know how the younger of the two will turn out, we know that the older one is 150% boy.  And since it is now warm outside he is having lots of fun doing all things "boy."
No, he did not catch all these himself, but he did catch his first fish all by himself two weeks ago!

This is "Lizard Taft," named after his cousins.

He would ride his bicycle all day every day if we would let him.
Even though I'm not ready to catch a lizard and I screamed and ran and hid in the other room when a HUGE green moth flew in our house the other night, I am totally ready to embrace this "boy thing."  I guess I don't really have a choice at this point, huh?!

Two Months...

Baby Talon is two months old today!  I am so thankful he is still an easy baby most of the time.  He is now going about 4 hours in between feedings and eating between 4 and 6 ounces each time.  We are only getting up 2 times during the night now, which is not too bad.  He looks EXACTLY like his father in the picture above...I'm glad I married a pretty man. ;)

He loves to watch the teddy bear mobile in the pack-n-play.  He smiles at it all the time and I finally got the end of a big smile.  Nothing sweeter than those baby gums!!
You can see the shadow of the teddy bear above his head in this one, but I still love his little expression.

Talon's Dedication

Sunday, March 6th was Baby Dedication at our church.  It's been kind of a "baby boom" at Five Points, so there were lots of precious new babies there!  We love our church and are so thankful for the great new and old relationships we have there.

I wish we would have gotten a family picture (Tucker chose to go down to Childrens' Church and play). And we had lots of other family members that were so sweet to come, but of course we didn't take a picture with them either and I really wish we would have!

Dress Up Days

Tucker has gotten to dress up for school two times in the past month...which is a dream for him!!  The first time was the week of Presidents' Day.  They were asked to dress like a famous American, so of course, Tucker was John Wayne.

The second time was the week of Dr. Seuss's birthday.  They dressed up like nursery rhyme characters...
Tucker was one of the "king's men" in Humpty Dumpty.  He absolutely LOVES to dress up.  He is at least 5 different people throughout the day.  His favorites right now are: ninja, knight, police man, and cowboy.   Never a dull moment around here!

1st Month

This precious baby was 1 month old last Monday (Valentine's Day).
Stickers from etsy.com. The idea from my cooler than me friend, Crystal ;)
He is such a sweet baby.  Most of the time he eats and then drifts off to sleep on his own.  He actually had his first cry fit tonight (and he will be six weeks old tomorrow).  This is quite a change from sweet little Tucker who cried quite a bit for what seemed to be no reason at all.  I'm so amazed at this little miracle every day!
