4th of July

I am SO behind!  July was a VERY busy month...fun and busy!  It started with a 4th of July weekend at the river.  We went Saturday to start getting things ready and took the opportunity to swim and play outside while we were there.  Sunday we celebrated Independence Day with lots of friends!  I wish I would have taken more pictures.  It was a fun day full of swimming in the river, eating good food, and spending time with some precious people.
The 4th of July is one of Tucker's favorite holidays.  Mostly because "the 'merican flag" and fireworks are two of his favorite things.

So glad that Addy, Anna Riley, and Cooper could come and play together!

After almost everybody was gone it was time for sparklers and home made ice cream...I think Pappaw was glad nobody was there to eat the ice cream ;).  Our sparklers were kind of duds, but everything else was fun...Tucker loved the smoke bombs the best, I think...he still talks about those.

The next morning we woke up at the river for another fun day!  We are so thankful to have this place.  It's a nice little getaway that's close to home and means we get to spend time with Pappaw.  Not to mention that at the "ribber," we have popsicles for breakfast...well at least some of us do...

6 Months

Somebody turned 6 months old yesterday!  He is now rolling over (both ways), eating between 6 and 8 ounces every 4 hours and eating baby food a couple times a day as well.  He has been going down at night by 7:30/8:00 and waking up at about 6:45.  He sleeps through the night most of the time, but we do have a few nights a week that he wakes up off and on, but I just give him his passy and he goes back to sleep.  I can't complain...he is the sweetest, happiest baby and I am so thankful!  I am sure it won't last forever, so we will enjoy it while it lasts!  The only mischief he gets in right now is  trying to get something that he's not supposed to have, like the remote or phone.  He will grunt and grab until he gets what he wants!

Tucker is definitely Talon's favorite person.  Talon watches Tucker's every move and thinks every thing he says is funny.

Mother's Day at the Zoo

Somehow I forgot to post about our day at the zoo back in May.  Mother's Day after church, we went to the Montgomery Zoo and had such a great time!  The weather was nice and there wasn't a whole lot of people there.  Of course I forgot my good camera, so I had to take pictures with my phone.

The rhino refused to get out of the water while we were there.  Probably shouldn't go to the zoo at the hottest part of the day.

Great elephant exhibit!

Talon loved it! Ha...he didn't know what was going on, but he didn't mind riding in the stroller all day!

Tucker thought he could catch the little peacock perched up on the fence.  He ran away, though.

After feeding the giraffes with Daddy...I was feeding Talon and didn't get a picture of that!

Waiting for ice cream!

Tucker loved the tigers!  They were beautiful.

I think that is a bear.

I love the leopards!  Amazingly beautiful animals!

We had to take a picture in front of the giraffes, they're my favorite.  I can't think of a better way to spend Mother's Day than outside enjoying the day with all three of my boys!

NYC...through my iPhone

I don't have all the pictures from my latest trip to New York, but I had to at least post these from my phone. It was my favorite trip to date. I'm always so amazed how God works things like that out. It is not easy for a mother of two to go on a trip like this, but thanks to my mom and Dane, husband, and sweet Caroline (babysitter), it was possible! Not to mention my sweet dad that financed the whole thing.  I absolutely love to travel with him for a number of reasons, one of which being that he is a pro in the airport (and let me just say, that was pretty important this trip) not to mention that we just have a lot of fun together, which I think is really special. Having a few days with him and my sister with no distractions (i.e. children) was nice, too. Alye and Olin put a lot of effort in to making sure that every thing was perfect, and they succeeded!  I am so proud of my sister and the person that she has become.  To this day every time I see New York City I can't believe that she lives there.  She is a person that I really admire and respect... living that far away from home in such a huge city is something I could never do.  It's a big accomplishment for anyone, but especially for a little girl that used to cry every time her daddy's truck was out of her sight.

It all started with a special chauffeur from the airport...
Olin surprised us at the airport in their new car!
Then Saturday we all went to our first Yankees game!  So much fun!

Next was my first visit to Alye and Olin's apartment in Brooklyn...

Sunday we shopped in Soho...
Sunday dinner at Prune...no I did not try the bone marrow...

Such a wonderful time!  Thank you all so much!

Father's Day: Jackpot

When it comes to daddies, we hit the absolute jackpot around here.  I thank the good Lord every day for the men that he put in my childrens' lives.  And I am reminded that God knew exactly what he was doing when he gave me boys.  Even though there are still times that I have no idea what I am doing, He has surrounded me with men that do and I am so thankful for each of them.
Can not hold back the tears each time I see this picture of the first time Cameron held Tucker.

Happy Father's Day to each of you!  We love you so very much.

5 Months

Number Two (as Cameron often refers to him) is now five months old.  And I don't want to jinx myself, but he has now been sleeping through the night for over a week.  Woohoo!  He is eating 8 ounces each feeding and we are giving him some food and apple juice now.  He loves to watch every move that Tucker makes... which Tucker loves, of course. :)

Exersaucin

Talon is now big enough to play in the exersaucer and he loves it!  In the morning I put him in it and turn on Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and he entertains himself until he is ready to eat breakfast.

Cutie pie.
